Master planning for a new residential community at Fennell Bay south west of Newcastle, NSW. The master planning of the site considers the various site constraints and opportunities including access, ecology, heritage, riparian zones, various services, mine subsidence, the railway corridor and the steep topography.

The master plan incorporates a central open space corridor along the existing Marmong Creek and lineal open spaces located along riparian corridors. Streets and lots are located to work with the topography and maximise solar orientation. Larger lots are located to enable tree retention near bushland areas and local parks are positioned as central focal points for the neighbourhood.
