Master planning of a 595 hectare site at Mount Larcom in Northern Queensland for a new community of approximately 6,000 people incorporating a range of residential land uses including traditional lots, mobile home parks and rural lots. The master plan responds to a need for the provision of a diversity of housing in order to meet housing demand from the workers in large industries nearby.

 

Community consultation included presentation of proposals to a community forum for feedback, meetings with various key State and Local Agencies and presentation of the proposals at a Council meeting.
