Tooleybuc Bridge

Tooleybuc is a town in the western Riverina district of south western NSW located adjacent to the Murray River, which divides New South Wales and Victoria. Tooleybuc bridge crosses the Murray River at Tooleybuc forming part of the Mallee Highway, which is a strategic road freight route linking NSW and Victoria. Roads and Maritime Services, in partnership with VicRoads, is developing options to replace the bridge and upgrade the approaches over the Murray River.

A Landscape character and visual impact assessment prepared as part of an Urban design study considers three route options for the new bridge crossing and approaches at the Murray River to replace the single lane lifting span Allan truss timber bridge.

PAADesign also prepared an interpretative strategy for the existing bridge and the Urban design strategy.
