Proposed treatment for the riparian zone to create a lineal park as part of the new residential community on the NSW Central Coast.

 

Key principles are:

• Preserve existing remnant vegetation to create an environmental corridor.

• Slowing stormwater run off by creating a vegetated swale with rock scour protection in key locations to slow water flow prior to discharge into downstream water quality basins.

• Create a sense of arrival into the new residential precinct.

• Create informal access and seating areas across the corridor connecting proposed residential precincts.

• To manage fuel loads to meet APZ requirements and achieve a low maintenance environment.
